• Media groups and 21 news publishers, including firms owned by Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, have challenged India's privacy law in the Supreme Court, Reuters reports.
• They say the law, which would require journalists to get consent from people they write about, is "pre-censorship". The government's response was not reported.

• রয়টার্সের খবর, মুকেশ আম্বানি ও গৌতম আদানির মালিকানাধীন প্রতিষ্ঠানসহ ২১টি সংবাদ প্রকাশক ও গণমাধ্যম সংগঠন ভারতের গোপনীয়তা আইনকে সুপ্রিম কোর্টে চ্যালেঞ্জ করেছে।
• তাদের বক্তব্য, সাংবাদিকদের যাঁদের নিয়ে লিখতে হয় তাঁদের সম্মতি নেওয়ার বাধ্যবাধকতা আসলে ‘প্রি-সেন্সরশিপ’। এ বিষয়ে সরকারের জবাব প্রতিবেদনে নেই।
