- Saudi-led coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki said air defences ‘intercepted and destroyed a hostile drone’ in the Riyadh region on Saturday, AFP reports. Debris fell to the ground and nobody was hurt.
- The statement did not say who launched it. The coalition is fighting Yemen’s Houthis, who said on Thursday they attacked Saudi sites, including the Ras Tanura and Rabigh refineries.
- The US embassy in Riyadh has told non-emergency staff and families to leave Saudi Arabia, citing Houthi attack risks. Saudi Arabia is a major destination for Bangladeshi migrant workers.
